As announced recently, we’ve partnered with the charity Amelia’s Rainbow to help make a difference to families across the Bournemouth and Poole region this Christmas. Together with other local companies, we are collecting toys for the charity that can be given to families whose children are suffering from terminal, chronic or life-limiting illnesses.
As well as being a collection point, 4Com are supporting the appeal by providing volunteers that will collect and wrap the presents. On Monday 12th December, select staff will be taking part in a “Santa Run”. Dressed in a Santa costume, they will be running from 4Com HQ to the numerous toy collection points to collect the donated toys to bring back for wrapping.
Dean Cartledge, Head of the 4Com Foundation and Director at 4Com believes it’s a great way to get staff involved with the appeal. “It gives our staff a fun and challenging way to get involved, making it a company-wide effort, as well as helping to generate awareness while we make our way to the collection points.”
Toy collection points are now open across the area until Friday 16th December.
You can donate new toys for any age but we are currently short of sensory toys and babies toys. For health and safety reasons, we can’t accept used toys, cuddly toys or toys with small pieces.
The local collection points are:
4Com – Aviation Business Park West, Christchurch | Store and Secure – Castlepoint | Top Cat Media – The Creative Quarter, Scotter Road | MK Estates & Lettings – Holdenhurst Road | The Funky Peach – Ashley Road, Poole | Daily Echo – Richmond Hill, Bournemouth & Swanage
