About Us

Established in 1999

4Com was established in 1999 with the aim of improving the communications of the UK’s SME market. At that time we were based in Salisbury and in the years since we have also had offices in Southampton as well as our current Headquarters in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Our Chairman and MD, Daron Hutt, founded the company and a number of our directors joined in the first few years and have worked their way up to their current positions.

We’re proud to have successfully partnered with major suppliers throughout our history. In the early days we provided Panasonic handsets, before moving onto work with Siemens (now Unify). More recently, we became the world biggest reseller of Samsung Unified Communications products, before opting to become a Platinum Partner of HiHi; the industry-leading business phone with video functionality.

Award Winning

We’re proud to have won and been finalists for a number of awards over the years. We’ve been finalists in the Dorset Business Awards, the National Business Awards and been named among the 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain. Our proudest achievement was winning The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for in 2017, after being in the top 20 for the previous 4 years.

In early 2019 we moved into our spectacular new offices in central Bournemouth, a few hundred yards from the coast. It’s easily accessible by rail, being just half a mile from the train station and is easily found from the A338.

The 4Com Foundation Our Charity Work

Charity work is a central theme to everything we do here at 4Com. Our monthly targets, whilst generating staff rewards, also directly impact the amount we give to charity each month.

On top of this we do at least one major charity event each year, such our Isle of Wight Challenge, which raised over £40,000 for Ashley’s Birthday Bank. We’ve even set up our own 4Com Foundation, which is run by 4Com employees.
