Amelia’s Retreat Officially Opened After 4Com Raise £35,000

4Com Plc, the business communication providers to UK SME’s, have today joined with The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund to open “Amelia’s Retreat”, a holiday home in New Milton which will be offered to families in Dorset whose children are suffering from chronic, life-limiting and terminal illnesses.  The opening of the retreat is the realisation of a long-held dream and comes as a result of 4Com donating the £35,646 they raised by completing the Welsh 3 Peaks this past summer.

Karl Cox, Co-Founder of The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund was quick to praise the efforts of their supporters in making the retreat possible, “We’re incredibly grateful to Burley Golf club for their continued support and of course to 4Com and their staff whose efforts both in climbing the Welsh 3 Peaks and raising the staggering amount of just over £35,000 has made Amelia’s Retreat a reality far earlier than we had imagined.”

Fellow Co-Founder, Chantel Cox, explained the significance of the holiday home, “This was a place we brought Amelia to get away from everything when she was ill and she absolutely loved it.  Our hope is that the holiday home will provide countless more happy memories for families that are in similar situations to ours, as well as a place for them to come if they are grieving.”

4Com’s Chairman and MD, Daron Hutt paid tribute to the work being done by the Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund and congratulated his team on their efforts. He added, “First of all, Chantel, Karl and everyone associated with the Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund should be incredibly proud of both the work they have done and the work they are continuing to do as it’s making a huge difference to lives of so many. We’re delighted to have played our part in helping their cause and this holiday home is something that’s going to help a lot of families in our community. The team did a fantastic job not just climbing the Welsh 3 Peaks but on giving their own money and getting sponsors all of which helped us to raise the £35,000 which has made this possible.

The holiday home will welcome its first guests later this month and already has bookings into next year.  If you’re a family in need and would like to find out more about the great work that the Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund do, please visit their website at: http://www.ameliasrainbow.org/
