4Com, the telecommunications provider to UK SMEs, officially launched the search for their 2022 charity partner today. The big annual event has taken a 2-year hiatus due to Covid, but returns this year with 4-25; a 25 mile hike over the challenging Purbeck Hills, which is due to be attempted by over 60 of their team. The successful charity, which will be chosen by a vote of 4Com’s staff, stands to receive at least £30,000.
Dean Cartledge, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of the 4Com Foundation, explained what the company is looking for in its charity partner, “We love to make a difference to as many people in our local community as we can. That’s why we’re looking for a partner in Dorset or Hampshire that can put these funds towards a specific project, which will impact a substantial number of people.”
Gary Scutt, 4Com’s CEO, added, “It’s great to have our big charity event back. Although we were all proud of what we achieved charitably during Covid, it’s great to get so many people from across the business together in honour of what I’m sure will be another fantastic cause.”
To apply to be 4Com’s 2022 charity partner, charities will need to visit 4Com’s application page on their website and fill out the form towards the bottom of the page. Applications will remain open until 9:00am on 24th August 2022. A shortlist will then be chosen from all of the applicants and this list will then be opened to a staff vote to decide the winner. The event itself will take place on the 25th September.
Dean continued, “It’s always an incredibly difficult decision whitling down so many fantastic causes to a shortlist, and harder still for our team to pick their winner. We’ve been part of some truly fantastic achievements over the years; from minibuses and holiday homes to sensory play areas and young carer trips, so we’re really looking forward to seeing how we can help again this year.”
