Give a smile to sick children this Christmas

For the second year running, 4Com have partnered with local charity Amelia’s Rainbow for their annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

Together with other local businesses across Bournemouth, 4Com are collecting toys for Amelia’s Rainbow Toy Appeal which will be given to families whose children are suffering from critical, chronic or life-limiting illnesses. The toys donated will be hand-delivered to children at Poole Hospital on Christmas Day, Dorchester Hospital on Boxing Day and to families the charity already supports. Presents will also be given to siblings of the children supported, so that each child’s Christmas is made slightly more special.

4Com is an official toy collection point, and will also be supporting the appeal by collecting toys from all the other businesses involved, before their team of staff volunteers begin sorting and wrapping them, ready for delivery across the Christmas period.

Dean Cartledge, 4Com Director and Head of the 4Com Foundation explained why he wanted to get involved with the appeal again, “Donating a toy may not feel like much, but it can really help to make a child’s Christmas extra special. I helped to deliver presents to children at Poole Hospital last year on Christmas Day and saw first-hand just how much happiness this appeal creates to children who are suffering.

I know that the staff at 4Com love to get involved, both donating toys and helping to wrap them; proven by a group of nearly 60 staff members coming together last year to help, and I know that this year will be no different.”

Toy collection points are now open across all businesses until Monday 11th December.

You can donate brand new boxed toys for any age between 0 – 18 years old, but we are currently short of babies/toddler toys and teenage presents. For health and safety reasons, we can’t accept used toys, cuddly toys (risk of infection) or toys with small pieces.
