Help to make a child smile this Christmas

Once again, 4Com have partnered with local charity Amelia’s Rainbow for their annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

Together with other local businesses across Bournemouth and Poole, 4Com are collecting toys for the charity’s Toy Appeal which will be given to families whose children suffer from critical, chronic or life-limiting illnesses.

Tailor-made Santa sacks filled with presents will be delivered to Poole Hospital on Christmas Day and Dorset County Hospital on Boxing Day, as well as to families the charity already supports. Presents will also be given to siblings of the children supported, so that everyone has a special Christmas present delivered to them.

4Com is once again an official toy collection point for toys to be donated to. Staff volunteers will also help to collect all the toys from the other businesses involved, bringing them back for sorting and wrapping so that the Santa sacks are ready for delivery across the Christmas period.

Dean Cartledge, 4Com Director and Head of the 4Com Foundation explains why this appeal is so important “Christmas can be a hard time when a child is in hospital or suffering from a serious illness, and it can really make an impact to the whole family, especially to siblings. This appeal helps to bring some happiness to the children in our community and having helped deliver presents in previous years, I have seen first-hand that these Santa sacks help to make the children’s Christmas that extra bit special.”

Toy collection points are now open across all businesses until Monday 10th December.

You can donate brand new boxed toys for any age between 0 – 18 years old, but this year we are asking for sensory gifts in particular, as these are suitable for so many of the children Amelia’s Rainbow support.

For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept used toys, cuddly toys (risk of infection) or toys with small pieces. Please ensure that all donated toys are unwrapped.
