4Com, the Bournemouth-based leading provider of business telephone systems, are proud to announce their upcoming fundraising challenge in support of Forest Holme Hospice, a 24-Hour Moveathon, taking place on 18th – 19th September 2025.
The challenge will see 4Com employees staying active around the clock, ensuring that at least one person is always exercising during the 24-hour period, including a dedicated overnight team. Participants will rotate through a wide variety of activities, from yoga, boxing, swimming, running, cycling and circuit training to stints on static exercise machines.
Forest Holme Hospice provides vital care and support for people across the local community who are affected by life limiting illnesses or bereavement. With only partial NHS funding, the charity must raise £1 million annually to continue delivering its exceptional services both in patients’ homes and at its dedicated hospice facility.
Dean Cartledge, 4Com’s Chief Growth Officer, expressed his enthusiasm, ‘After the success of our 24-Hour Moveathon in 2023, we knew it had to return even bigger and better! For many of our colleagues, this challenge means stepping out of their comfort zone, but their commitment to raising money for such an incredible local charity has been inspiring.’
The charity is particularly close to the hearts of many at 4Com, as Forest Holme Hospice cared for their much-loved colleague and friend, Ben Standish, a valued member of the 4Com family since 2011.
Gary Scutt, Chief Executive Officer at 4Com, added, “I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the spirit they’re bringing into this challenge. Their dedication to the 24-Hour Moveathon reflects our values and commitment to making a real difference in our community. The funds raised will help Forest Holme Hospice continue their remarkable work, improving the lives of those facing life-limiting illnesses across Dorset.’
