4Com Partners with Christchurch Angels to Tackle Social Isolation

4Com, the Bournemouth-based leading provider of business telephone systems, are proud to partner with Christchurch Angels, to support members of their local community who are often socially isolated.

The Christchurch Angels offer short-term support to people that feel disconnected from society.  The initiative, set up by Christchurch Community Partnership, organise various lunch clubs, Coffee Connection mornings, and offer one-to-one support from volunteers to encourage people to reconnect with their local community.

Through 4Com’s Events Committee, the telecoms company sponsored a popular lunch club on Tuesday 29 April 2025, for over 50 people, located within Christchurch.

Dean Cartledge, 4Com’s Chief Operating Officer, spoke about the project, “A friendly chat and a bite to eat can have a big impact on someone’s wellbeing. I’m proud of the team for, once again, helping those in need within our local community.”

Organised by Maria Langdown, from 4Com’s Customer Sales team, six members of the events committee attended the sponsored lunch, chatting with the attendees, serving lunch and hosting a bingo event.

Maria commented, “It’s great to be working with Christchurch Angels and to sponsor one of their popular community events. It was wonderful to meet everyone and to witness the incredible work they’re doing firsthand.”

Sandra Prudom, Christchurch Angels Chief Executive Officer, reflected, “Thank you to the lovely folk at 4Com for providing another wonderful event for our clients on Tuesday – it was hugely appreciated by all of our clients, as well as our team! It is a much-anticipated event in the CCP calendar, for clients old and new. The food was delicious and the bingo, as always, was very popular.”

Pat, a Christchurch Angels client, added, “If you can make someone happy, then that’s the best thing in life.”
