Care for the child, there for the family: Julia’s House Golf Day sponsored by 4Com

4Com are pleased to sponsor Julia’s House Golf Day on Tuesday 25th April.

Julia’s House is not a typical childrens’ hospice. They provide practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Tailoring the care to the needs of each individual child and their family, Julia’s House provides frequent and regular support to children in their own homes, within the community or at the hospice.

On Tuesday 25th April, Julia’s House are holding a Golf Day at Ferndown Golf Club, returning after the success of last year’s event. It’s a great chance to play at one of the UK & Ireland’s Top 100 Courses, ranked by Golf Monthly. The club has recently completed an £180K renovation programme transforming the heathland, making it an even more attractive course as well as improving the condition and playability.

4Com’s Marketing Director, Steve Mills, spent time working with Julia’s House Fundraising Team and knows first-hand the difference they help to make to the lives of sick young people and their families across Dorset and Wiltshire. “I am pleased that 4Com are able to contribute in a small way to the efforts made by the fundraisers and volunteers working tirelessly to support the work that Julia’s House does across two counties. I’ve seen the impact of the practical and emotional support on the whole family, not simply the child.”

As well as playing the 18-hole course with a shot gun start at noon, the day also includes:

  • Coffee and bacon roll on arrival.
  • 2-course meal.
  • Beat the Pro competition.
  • Short charity auction and raffle.
  • Win a wheelbarrow of wine competition.

For a team of 4 non-members the cost is £350. (There is a reduced cost for 1 or more Ferndown members, full details on the booking form).

If you’d like to join us to enjoy a great day of golf as well as raising money for local children and families, please complete and return the booking form or call on 01202 644220 as team places are limited.

You can find more details about Julia’s House Golf Days on their event page, along with a short film made by the 4Com video team last year about what you can expect.
