The Economist magazine has published a really interesting infographic that details how senior management across 800+ organisations are viewing social media as a business communications tool.

The really interesting points are as follows:

1. There is a real difference of opinion between who owns the customer relationship on social media

2. Social mediaplatforms like Facebook and Twitter are still not seen as relevant by Customer Services departments

3. Mobile apps are not being utilised as a communications tool
