SALARY: £21,840 + C /A+ Company PRP
Location: Head Office initially based in Salisbury but will soon be relocating to Bournemouth
Hours: 37.5 per week. Overtime may be required to meet the requirements of the job
Job Description
To work as part of the Support Team to ensure that our customers’ telecommunication systems are maintained; rectifying any faults in a professional and timely manner, whilst being flexible enough to carry out installations and upgrades as required by the Company. The ideal candidate should have experience with Siemens Hipath telephone systems.
The post-holder will be responsible for:
* Attending sites in accordance with the work schedule and assisting other Technicians with the installation or maintenance of equipment as directed by the Helpdesk Team or Technical Management.
* Tidying the site after work has been carried out ensuring that the site is left at least as clean and tidy as it was found upon arrival, as well as representing 4Com in a professional manner, ensuring dress standards are adhered to at all times and liasing with customers during installation / maintenance site visits.
* Working on the Helpdesk as required being prepared to role swap and carry out installations when required.
The ideal postholder will:
* Possess or be prepared to gain within a year the following Siemens qualifications: Hipath 3000 Installation and Maintenance, DECT cordless packages, Data networks, HG 1500 and IVM expressions compact;
* Posses Samsung OS7000 range qualifications with an ability to complete Samsung installations;
* Possess CTI software installation and maintenance;
* Posses LG experience
* Posses OAK accreditation for Smart products with knowledge of OAK DX voice recording products;
* Be able to demonstrate an aptitude for technology;
* Have a high level of manual dexterity;
* Possess a current UK driving licence;
* Possess IT skills and have a working knowledge of windows based packages;
* Have proven customer care skills;
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Possess good organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
* Be able to demonstrate their attention to detail;
* Have a flexible approach to work and the ability to work well as part of a team;
* Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and be prepared to undertake staff development as required;
* Have an understanding of the basic principles of Health and Safety; being able to undertake risk assessments as appropriate.
It is desirable that the postholder will:
* possess Panasonic installation and maintenance experience;
* have undertaken relevant Health & Safety training;
* possess a current first aid at work certificate.
